VILLAGE LATRINES
Over 100 latrines built
Clean sanitation is essential for reducing gastrointestinal disease and improving population health. Many people living in rural Sierra Leone do not have access to facilities. Since 2012 this project is a partnership between Friends of Nixon who provide the building materials, the hospital public health team who provide project management and local surrounding villages who supply the workforce for their latrines.
